Frequently asked questions
Materials, care, commissions, ordering and shipping — the things people ask most.
Yes. Every piece on this site is designed and made in the studio, one at a time. Metal is cut, formed, soldered and finished by hand, and stones are set by hand. That is why no two pieces are exactly alike, and why a piece listed as one of a kind is exactly that.
Absolutely — custom work is a large part of what the studio does. Use the custom order form to describe what you have in mind, your budget and any timing, and you'll get a reply to talk it through. There is no obligation until a design and price are agreed.
Mostly sterling silver, 14k gold and gold-filled wire, alongside natural stones, wood and found materials. Each listing says exactly what it is made from. If you would like a piece in a different metal, ask — most designs can be made in silver or gold.
Store pieces separately so they don't scratch each other, take them off before swimming, bathing or applying lotions, and polish silver with a soft cloth when it darkens. Wood and leather components should be kept dry. Each product page carries care notes specific to that piece.
Usually, yes. Most rings can be resized by a size or two either way. Get in touch with your order number and the size you need, and we'll let you know what is possible for that particular design.
Use the contact form or email the studio directly. Messages are answered within one or two business days, including questions about a particular piece or about a custom design.
You can browse and see prices without one, but placing an order requires an account. It keeps your order history, shipping updates and saved address in one place, and takes a moment to create at checkout.
You place your order first and receive an order number straight away — no card details are collected. Your confirmation page and email show the $cashtag to pay and the exact amount, with a button that opens Cash App with the amount filled in. Put your order number in the For field and the payment is matched to your order, usually the same day.
Pieces that are in stock ship within three business days of your payment being received. Made-to-order sizes and custom work take longer, and the product page or your quote will say how long. Every parcel is tracked and you'll get the tracking number by email the moment it is dispatched.
Photograph the parcel and the piece as received and email within 48 hours of delivery. It will be repaired or replaced at no cost to you.
Not yet — orders ship within the United States only. If you are elsewhere, get in touch and we'll see what can be arranged.
Any order still showing 'Awaiting payment' can be cancelled at no cost — simply don't send the payment, and email so the piece can be released. Once payment has cleared and the piece is packed, changes are no longer possible, though returns are (see the returns policy).
For a one-person studio, Cash App keeps things simple: no processor between you and the maker, no card fees to pass on, and payment lands directly. It is one extra step for you, and it keeps prices where they are.
